OUR STORY

Founded in 2005 by Bill and Barbara Steele, Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden emerged from a vision to harmonize winemaking with nature. Nestled in Southern Oregon's Applegate Valley, the Steeles transformed the estate into one of the nation's pioneering certified biodynamic wineries, emphasizing regenerative agriculture and a deep respect for the land.

In 2021, stewardship of Cowhorn passed to Mini Byers, who embraced the Steeles' legacy with a commitment to deepen the winery's biodynamic practices. Mini's passion for holistic farming and sustainable living continues to guide Cowhorn's evolution, ensuring that the vineyard remains a vibrant ecosystem where vines, gardens, and wildlife coexist.
